How to protect yourself

    In order to protect yourself from giving out  personal information, you can:

• Do not add people on social networking sites just so you can say," I have a thousand friends."
• Do not open e-mail from strangers.
• Decline any cookies that websites offer you so it reduces the information you give out
• Keep changing your passwords frequently
• Never respond to pop-up windows or any kind of spam
• Do not use the same password more then once
• Never think that whatever you post will be completely private- Stay cautious...
• Check for privacy settings updates regularly
• Read the company's privacy settings before even thinking about giving any information
• Do not give out your password to other people
• Never give out your location
• Do not add friends of your friends because you don't know who they are
• Do not give out your Social Insurance Number
• Install proper security progams to help keep you safe
• Make sure the website you are visiting is the real company website and not an imitation of the website
